Photographics, the oldest digital imaging and traditional
film/optical photo lab in the Philadelphia area. We have been
providing professional photo lab and digital imaging services to
photographers, artists and businesses since 1990. Our customers
believe we offer quality, flexibility, and personalized service that
is beyond the ability of larger labs.
We now specialize in the
digital capture and reproduction of fine art work and photographic
originals. With our Phase One digital
scanning camera we digitally capture original artwork and prints of
all types and sizes at high resolution, high color fidelity and very
wide dynamic range. Our scanners for film images are of equal
quality. From this file, or any other, we can produce Giclee
Fine Art Reproductions that fully utilize all the quality
available from the file. We print with a
44"Hewlett Packard HPz3100 printer
and Vivera 11 pigment ink set, with a gloss enhancer, that produces
an archival rating to last 250 years (tests by wilhelm-research.com),
giving our prints the best archival qualities available today. They
are available on archival fine art fiber, cotton rag, canvas,
transparency, RC photo paper and on various less expensive signage,
and adhesive backed media. Please call about all the print media that
is available, there are new ones every day. A variety of mounting,
laminating and other finishing services are also available.
We offer an excellent and nationally recognized film
department, which is able to process B&W,
C-41 and E-6 films pushed or pulled to
your specifications. We can cross process E-6 films in C-41 and C-41
films in E-6, also pushed or pulled. Cost effective and high quality
scanning options are available allowing the film photographer to
offer the best of both film and digital work flows.
We still offer the best in
traditional photo lab services including hand
developing b&w film, photo
restorations, shooting
slides, 4x5 transparencies and negatives from your art work.
We can hand print color or b&w prints on enlargers up to 30x40" on real silver gelatin and
chromogenic
photographic paper.
Our
goal is to offer you the best and newest technologies to achieve
products and quality that were never available until now. We still
offer the best of traditional photography products using the classic craftsmanship of the past.
